For nearly 30 years, Brian Drummond has concentrated his practice on, representing clients charged with crimes, or injured through the negligence of others. He understands clients’ individual needs, and provides the personalized counsel so essential in personal injury and criminal defense matters. Brian’s extensive experience and proven track record for results build client trust at a difficult time in their lives.
Prior to joining Whitestone Young, Brian served as a Deputy Clerk in the Fairfax County Circuit Court Criminal Section, where he learned the criminal justice system from the inside out.
His dedication to his clients, and his passion for representing those facing legal challenges, have solidified his reputation for successfully resolving cases in a professional and commanding style, yet in a cordial manner.
The son of two World War II veterans, Brian strives to be the best in whatever he does, whether as Chairman of the Board for Final Salute, Inc. for the benefit of homeless female veterans, or as a Board Member of Ellie’s Hats increasing awareness of and working to provide for kids with cancer and their families. But Brian’s true passion is the practice of law. He studied criminology at the University of Virginia, where he earned a degree in Sociology. After his service at the Clerk’s Office, he entered George Mason University School of Law, where he was Chairman of the Honor Council. He was president of the Alumni Association at Mason from 2002-2004, and continues his support of the university, as evidenced by his 29 year membership in the Patriot Club.
Brian is a published criminal law author, writing chapters on trial preparation and search and seizure in the scholarly series “Inside the Minds” published by Aspatore Books, a subsidiary of Thomson Reuters. He is considered to be among the best criminal defense attorneys in the Northern Virginia area.
Shakespeare wrote: “All’s well that ends well.” Brian has taken that mantra as his own-it doesn’t matter how difficult it is to achieve the desired result, so long as, at the end of the day, you get there.
